"EG6" refers to the Civic SiR, not a base model.

93 DX, VX, CX hatchbacks here in the US = EH2

I don't know if they have such a thing as a "JDM DX"

okay, do you guys not know?

EG = JDM chassie code for hatchback
EG=6 is JDM chassie code for hatchback plus 1.6 liter motor or B16 (SiR)
EH2=USDM chassie code for hatchback

do a search on chassie codes, i remember like a year ago they had a debate all about codes and someone made up a whole list of civics from europe, asia, austrialia, canada, america, and japan.

nobody needs to search, here's a trick for you: everyone that wants to find out your chassis code, go outside to your car, when you get there, locate the VIN plate, its in the lower driver's side corner of the windsheild. when you find that plate, you will notice a long number containing both letter's and number's. this is called the "VIN number." after you locate that, look at the first 3 digits of the "VIN number." it should usually say 1HG, it may be different depending on the car. after that, there are 3 more characters, 2 letter's and 1 number. those characters are your chassis code.

Chassie?... I thought it was spelled chassis... anyways...

Not all U.S. 92-95 Civic hatchback chassis codes are EH2's, they can also be EH3's

EH2= CX, DX, VX.
EH3= Si.
