Default Stupid -yet quick -distributor question

I need a new distributor. Are any other OBD2 distributors compatible (GSR?) or do I need a type R distributor?

any 96+ b-series vtec distributor will work. obd1 distributors will work also, but need to change the wirings.. not too hard.. but just go find u a obd2... less trouble.

One more stupid question. I called an importer this morning looking for an OBD2 vtec distributor and he asked me whether it had 1 wire coming out of it or 2. Since I'm at work, I can't go check it. Anyone one know off-hand how many wires come out of the the Type R distributor?

he means how many clips coming out of the distributor. OBD1 have 2 clips while obd2 has 1. so for you.. ask for only 1 clip.
