wondering about the b16

Default wondering about the b16

Can anyone tell me if i put a b16 into a 89 crx if i am going to need to tune it often and if i will have a lot of problems because my friends all tell me different things.

The only time you need to tune it is after you have a mojority of your mods done and you dont think your going to be adding anymore. Then have it tunnes so that its running at its max potential. These motors are very reliable just like any other honda motor and if you take care of it, it will take care of you.

Yeah, no need to worry too much. It's always a crap shoot, you might get stuck with a shitty motor. That's something you have to be willing to take. More than likely you'll get one in good running condition and will be good to go.

One quick question, how much does the B16A make stock? Is it 160hp or lower since it's the 1st gen B16?

I belive the first gen b16 are supposed to have 160hp or 158ps, my b16a out of a Honda Integra XSi made 142whp and 102 tq all stock on a dynojet a few months back...
