I just changed my front brake pads. I put on hawk pads. everything went smoothly. however, when i go 65-70 mph and press on the brakes, the steering wheel shakes and it seems like the whole car is shaking. Whats wrong?!?!

 

I think there is the 250miles wear in period where you shouldn't use the brake too much and it will go away afterward

 

brake it down and check your rotors also. when my rotors were bad, everytime i brake, it would shake my steering wheel like crazy. After i changed it....it went smooth.

 

I did a search to see if there were similar problems and i found out that people were saying the rotors may be warped. But I never had that problem yesterday with the original pads.

 

pads do have to wear in a bit, then be properly bedded and rested.
