99-00 si cluster in a 89 si??

Default 99-00 si cluster in a 89 si??

i know some have put the gsr cluster in there efs, but has anyone put the 99-00 si cluster in there hatch? will i need to get the VSS thing? im not to sure how this works with swapping clusters, will it work and all?

you wont be the first or last to try this. my boy had done it already. I watched him do it for a little bit. He used an ohm meter to check the polarities of those enclosed wires on the back of the stock dx and did the same for the 00 cluster. then he logged on a sheet of paper what the readings where on each and then wired it from there. I can ask him if he can explain it on the web but he doesnt ever use the net unless its at my house so we'll see
