UPDATE:k my car has been starting on /off for a short while now, Its getting spark.. so my last guess is fuel.. now its realllly bad it started after like 100 times of tryin to get it to start... my idle is like crazy low .. like 200, also sometimes it starts .. then sputters and dies very quickly.... ?? any help please ! my car is at a gas station

well when i put my b16 in my car wouldnt start and every once in awhile it would....it was because of bad grounds...i would check your grounds...maybe that will do something

Sounds like the main relay to me.

 

I was thinking that tooo.. whats a quick fix? besides soldering the damn thing.. i need it home so i can do the work!?

 

It it was the main relay then why would it idle so low it should run normal once it's started. Also when you say you try 100 times does it crank those 100 times or just click?

 

your fuel pump is going out, not putting out enough fuel pressure. Thats what it sounds like to me. See if you can start it on starter fuild. Take off ur intake and spray some down the TB see if it starts like that.

 

well it starts w/ the starter fluid.. but that works w/ the main relay anyway.. I've had the main relay problem before it seems like it could be it i have it out but i can't really tell if its bad or not./...?!?!? any one/?

 

i'll resolder my relay.. unless anyone has an extra they wanna sell me then see where it goes from there.. i really dont wanna drop my gas tank unless i have to

 

Would the fuel pump be a problem? with the low idle.. because it has no trouble getting gas when i step on it.. no h esitation just low idle.. and when i shift the rpms kinda hang for a moment then drop.. any suggestions?

Be sure to check your timing, I know when my car jumped a tooth it retarded it and would hesitate at very low rpms and it idled at about 100 according to the tach. Fixind the timing and it started fine and idled normal. Maybe you jumped 2 teeth.

 

when i did a fuel pump before on a civic, it would run fine once u get it going but it barly idled and it was very hard to start. so yeah it could still be ur fuel pump
