Robbie Montinola will be racing in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. Still # 18, but in a new black car with red wings. The Barber Dodge race will be on Sunday at 10:00-11:00 right before the ChampCar race.

You are all invited to drop by the Barber Dodge paddock and check out the cars up close. Just introduce yourself to us and say the magic word, "Honda-Tech." Best time to come would be right after the sessions.

Is this one of the Montinolas that ran in the Sport Compact Car USCC a year or two ago? If so, that was a nice car, and good job as well.

 

Good luck to Robbie...sorry that I can't make it, but I have a club autocross on the same day that I'm the chairperson for. Hope to see you again soon, and hope that the job is working out.

fugg... I was out there earlier this year.

Good luck to you! I'll be racing there this weekend, too - and then at Portland the weekend after. I'll be in my trusty #51 Star Shield Armor car, now in orange.



Last year we had 70 cars start the race, and despite having more cars than all other groups combined, we were the only ones not to go full course yellow in the first lap! Should be another great shootout again this year. If anyone attends the CART race, be sure to stay and watch the Miatas.

Thank you all for your kind words. Yes, this is the same Montinola that was in the Dec 2001 cover of Sport Compact Car Magazine for the BFGoodrich G-Force Challenge and the Video that they are selling about the G-Force Challenge. If you have seen that video, the inboard camera shots are with Robbie driving the Type R. He did some spins exiting the corner for some exciting video coverage.
