Importing NSRs from Japan to Canada?
I'm just wondering if anybody is familiar with the procedures in bringing these bikes over here?
I got a buddy in Japan who's found some newer ones at a pretty decent price but if I cannot insure them to run on the street, they won't be much use to me as I won't have much time to ride them for track events.....
I remember a fellow on HT.com who mentioned it was possible to insure them, if you took them apart, shipped the bike over as "spare parts" and then reassembled them here and insured them under a special insurance?

I have no idea about licensing grey-market bikes in canada, but I will say the "spare parts" is the way to go. Make sure you ship it in at least two boxes at different times, otherwise the wiley customs people will realize it's a whole bike.
