Default Will auto ECU run properly with m/t?

hi,

i got an obd2 swap but, it came with an auto ecu.
will it work properly in my 5 speed hatch or, will i have to get a new ecu?

i did a search & found out about the pr17 resistor on obd1 ecus but, nothing on whether obd2 is the same.

You will need a new ECU, from a manual car.

If the auto ecu is the same ecu made for the engine that your swapping in, it WILL work without a problem. Only thing is, you will have a constant code 70 because there is no automatic transmission.
