how much tops would you guyz pay for a parts car? i can get a complete 88 civic crx si for 750, to go along with my 88 civic hatch with the d15 and 4speed. the only problem with this crx is that it slid into a guard rail, so it has a huge dent in the passenger door/frame area. the car is perfectly driveable the way it is actually, my buddy and i cruised around in it for a while. it has a few things that i really want. like the motor *d16* and a si 5speed tranny, those are the main ones, but it has other cool things like a dash with a factory tech, passenger side mirror. all i gotta do is flatbed it to my house, and i basically have another car for parts. what do you guyz think?

 

So what are you asking?? Are you asking if that 88 Si is worth $750? If so then no. I wouldnt pay that much considering the pieces that you want could be had for a lot less than that. If you want a parts car find one that was in a worse accident or something. I paid about $700 for both of my 91 CRX Si's. One was hit in the front real hard and the other was a rollover. I got more than enough usable parts to turn my 91 automatic CRX DX into a manual Si. I think that if you keep looking you will find a better deal if your just looking for the parts now say if you were going to fix the 88 (neither one of my parts cars were worth fixing) then it might be worth it if it can be fixed.. Just my $.02

i'm goin to pick up a parts car today for the best price. FREE. motor runs. it just doesnt have any header or exhaust. he was about to take it to the scrapyard and i told him i would take it so he said if i come pick it up i can have it. so $750 seems a little high. i picked up another one about 4 weeks ago for $100 that didnt run but the body was in good shape. so now i'm gonna swap the motor over and i'll have a decently running car for $100
