Default **HELP** Front caliper won't pivot out

I tried removing the passenger side front caliper but it won't pivot out. I unbolted the caliper bolt but when I stick a screwdriver in to pivot out the caliper it won't budge at all. The caliper isn't seized and I can't see anything preventing it from sliding out. Any ideas? I'm stumped.. I just put everything back together and called it a night. This is a 90si BTW. Thanks

Have you compressed the pads? They may be holding the caliper to the rotor.

Should remove the 12mm bolt on the bottom, compress the piston slightly and pivot upwards.. Works for me everytime....

Well you need to get it out, the slide sounds like it has some build up of rust on it of some sort. As said, remove the 12mm bolt, get a screw driver and pry it so it goes upwards, then slide it off, Besure to use high temp lube/anti seize on the slides when doing brake jobs.

Thanks for the tip. Can you explain what you mean by pivoting upwards?

Once the bolt is removed from the bottom, get a screw driver and pry upwards, the caliper will pivot UPWARDS... slowly push up.. Then push inwards sliding it back and forth to get that ****** off, I'm sure you just got some STANK greese on your slide and its being a ***** to get off.
