Default How to prepare my ECU for Hondata s200b..

okay, i've done a stage 2b for my LS ecu b4, and it involved soldering in 2 capacitors and the other usual components and chips, so i've got the experience.. But w/ the s200 system, the capacitors are not supplied anymore.. does that mean they're no longer needed? Also, it is mentioned that you must cut jumper J12 in the usdm ECU's.. is that implying that you must cut the resistor out?? I'm a bit skeptical about doing this, unless it is absolutely necessary..

I'm asking because i just bought 2 s200b systems and will be doing the solder work and installing the sytems in a p28 and p72 ecu.. So if anyone of you here has done the work for yourselves, what is needed to be done to get the s200b system operating correctly in the ecu w/o frying it unintentionally?? it seems to be a bit different from the stage 2b..?? your input is much appreciated..

on a side note, i already researched on the hondata site, and their installation instructions aren't as clear for the s200 systems as they were for the older stage 2,3,4 systems...

Send an email to doug@hondata.com and he will answer you promptly. On my JDM P72 S200 I had to add the surface mount IC and jumper but I think USDM and JDM ecus are setup different.
