tachometer problem

tachometer problem
Just installed jdm type R cluster in an EG (have R dash in car).Problem is there is no tach signal,all other gauges work.Also have hesitation on accel.Could it be problem with ignition coil,as signal for tach runs through coil.When doing cluster swap I took JDM gauges and swapped them onto original R cluster.
