Man, that's beautiful.

So you are making it an all out track car?? I hope so.

Is that a DC header??

Did you make that egr block off plate yourself??

I see you cut the flange off from the DC Downpipe. Is that a resonator you welded to that or what? I'm trying to get a custom setup but that DC Downpipe flange, the shape is killing me since Kteller8's flanges aren't that shape.

Hey man, are you lloking for the flange that matches up to the part of the header that he cut off?? If so, try contacting http://www.testpipe.com

They mounted this flange onto my Carsound cat.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the comments guys I really appreciate it with having four years invested in it so far.
ANDYD: I'm building it mainly as a strip car, but still keeping it streetable. No emissions checks here.
It is a DC header that I modified by cutting off the restrictive collector that it comes with and welding on a 2-1/2in pipe. The Dynomax muffler will be attached to it in place of the cat. Right now i'm in the process of cutting off the ridiculously small flexpipe and replacing it with 2-1/2in pipe.
I did make the block off plate myself. Thats one I made a few months ago, now its edges are contoured with the manifold for a cleaner look. I'll be making quite a few of them very soon. $5 each if interested.
H23ALUDE: It's a Dynomax race muffler, but yeah, basically a resonator haha. I could modify you one if you yould like, after i'm done with mine of course so you can see the results.
the-one1: The last pic is an '87 Grand National engine bay, one my buddy owns that i'm working out of the shop with. It's pretty much everything you can do while still keeping the factory bottimend; Garrett T-44, aluminum heads, built 200-4R, airbags, LT1 mass air, MAF translator. The setup is supposedly capable of 600hp with tuning, we're still working the bugs out right now.

How much are you asking for your intake manifold AndyD?

NICE! You need to get that thing ready and hit up the H-T meet in Charlotte at the end of July. I'd love to see it in person!

I really appreciate the good comments guys, i've gone broke quite a few times rounding up parts for her with no immediate results.
It's almost funny from my point of view, how back in '98-'99 if you wanted to do this swap "everything" would have to be custom and everyone would say it couldn't be done. But now it's almost easy, every magazine has a how-to guide and everyone sells bolt-in mounts and ready made wiring conversions. It almost took the fun out of it for me. On the bright side though, it's still getting done.

I'd love to go to the meet, is there a set date yet?

ophdeheezy: I actually cut it right where the two secondary pipes converge into one then formed the 2-1/2in. so that it would make a smooth transition. Now i've actually removed the restrictive flexpipe, the ID is a lot smaller than you think.
I wish I had just bought a Kamikaze and not have to worry about it.

bboyprelude: I couldn't find any more pics that i've taken that would be of any help so i'll take a couple more tonight for you.

RotaryBzzz: thankyou I've worked a lot for it.

jz: I ahven't really touched the bottomend at all, my goal is to see how much power I can get out of the factory bottomend turbocharged. All the accessories are new though, oil pump, water pump, H23 tensioner assembly, all new gaskets, ect.

Good luck on the project!

Thankyou, we've actually thought about getting a lift but the ceiling is a little low. We'll probably end up moving to a different location with more space or buy a plot of land somewhere and build our own. I'd really like to buy my own cnc mill so I could start doing basic block boring/honing and making custom parts for customers. I'm wanting to get into porting Honda heads since i've done work on domestic heads (2valve) for a while now, but i'm still pretty new to the layout of the 4-valve setup and how they flow so it'll probably be later down the road.
