ZC in HF
We just installed a zc engine in my friends crx hf and the swap went fine we are using a 90 si ecu for right know but the car keeps throwing a map sensor code we change the map sensor and it still puts out the same code after resetting the ecu anyone got any idea's as to what the del is with this
Be sure all vac hoses are secure and any you didnt use are plugged.
btw, that si ecu is going to suck, I swapped my old ex one in just for ***** and I can feel a bit of difference.

EF EX & Si.... same ECU!

I think hes saying he puts the EX ecu in and feels the differance (eg less power)
And all EX/Si ECU's are the same... EF... EG... etc.

No ****, he said hes going to run his Si ecu, I run the PG7 ecu and switched to the PM6, my ex one just to see the difference. The point is that his car will not perform very well with the si ecu.

Dude, I didnt say which ecu I was running before I swapped in my old ex one in my first post, you just assumed I was running the si one, which was wrong. His post is about the map sensor, which I addressed, not what ecu hes running, I merely added that running the si ecu on the zc will suck, which it will. End of story. The map code he needs to check his vac hoses.

i was getting the MAP code due to my dizzy/cam sensor wiring- are all of the connections good? Have you used a voltrometer to see if it's getting the correct current? are all of the vacuum hoses & everythingn hooked up right?
everything is hooked up right and it never threw a code with the old engine. we even changed the map sensor and it did not make a difference. the reason why we are using teh si ecu is cause he has not been able to find a pg7 for the right price. When you first start the car it willl not stay running so you have to keep your foot on the gas untill the check engine light comes on and then it will idle correct. I'm lost
I did a ZC > HF swap with a teg ecu and it ran like crap. Did a search on dx > zc conversion and found an article on the hybrid forum. Basically I followed this. Ended up having to cut several wires on the ecu harness that go to sensors, etc. that the SI/ZC didn't have. Ran perfect after that for 2 years. Hope this helps.
