Default HondaClassifieds.com - Anybody done any deals there yet?

I'm about to do a deal at HondaClassifieds.com and I was wondering if anybody has done any deals over there? How can I be on the safe side so I don't get ripped off?

I've sold a few things over there. Now days it's really iffy doing person to person transactions over the internet. Unless the person is really well respected, it's a 50-50 situation until you get your stuff. I would just try and get as much information about the person you are dealing with. If they are hesitatant in giving you thier info, then that should be a possible warning sign to a scammer.

talk to them on the phone, get all their info, if they're a minor talk to their parents... do whatever it takes

well if it's a pretty big $$$ item, have them put it on ebay (private auction)... this way you could contact ebay if there's any problems or even for some insurance money if something may happen

Thanks for the heads up guys. I'll follow the advice, I just hope this doesn't turn out to be a dead beat scammer.

it cost like $2 to put an auction on ebay, if they think it's too much - they are too cheap to do business with

Well he sent me his driver's license number and he gave me his address. I asked for his phone number, but he didn't give it to me, he rather wanted mines instead. What can I do with his license number and address to check on this guy?
