Default Got my motorcycle license, finally!

well i've had my motorcycle learners for like 2 years now (expired of course) and i finally got into the motorcycle safety course and got my license. I've been trying to get into the motorcycle course all along, but they never had any openings. Then luckily I did get into one of the classes last year, but i got to the first class 15 minutes late due to an accident on the beltway, so they wouldn't let me in. So then I had to wait for classes to start this year. The day of registration, i had to get there at like 9 am just to get a spot, and i did. I just finished up the class on Sunday and then got my license on Monday. I was kinda pissed that i had to repay the $45 for my license, just because my learners expired... but at least i finally got my license.

You have to take the motorcycle safety course, call as early as you can b/c spots fill up quick. The course costs $100, its 2 nights of classroom stuff, then 2 days of riding. and at the end of the last day, you take the skills test which is really easy. Then they give you a certificate that u take to the MVA, then u get ur license. I'm not sure how much it'll cost in your state.

the time you were 15 minutes late, did they refund your money?

in texas, on their website, it's if you're late or dont show up, you're out 155$. You'd have to resign up and repay the amount.

cept the time I went, this guy was an hour late to class but before he got there, soemone explained about horrible traffic so when he came in, he had to wait til the next break before he could join the class. which i thought was cool cuz being out 155$ would suck

Yeah, generally if it's out of your control (traffic, accident), they're more than willing to let you either join the class or sign up for another (at no extra fee). Only problem with the latter is, it might not be for awhile before you get another class since they fill up so quickly.

yeah but what i was thinking was that since the class Does start at 8AM on a weekday, i figured you should make enough time to get to class but it was cool, the instructors were cool about it.

lol... i think i'm one of the rare ones that got into the class 3 days before it started

The class is easy. It's pretty hard to fail any of the written/classroom tests. And if you don't pay attention during the ride-sessions, then you'll get screwed on the "test" on the last day. Just listen-up when the instructor(s) is/are talking, and you'll be fine.

And if you should score too low on that final test, then I believe they offer a "make-up" class.
