yea it works but all it is is a shorter stick, doesnt shorten, or wont significantly shorten the throw.

it does work, you will need the prelude cables too.

You can't use a lude SS adapter on a lude shifter in an accord though, it hits the console.

i went ahead and swaped the shifter it is awesome it is like 2 almost 3 inches shorter and the throw is also shorter... feels great! now i have a real short shifter in my cl...
the reason i asked about the accord is because everything in the cl is identical to the 94-97 accord
thanx everyone

Okay first, don't listen to these people that are just recycling what they've heard. I own a 5th gen, and I have put a 4th gen (95 lude si) shifter in my car without any major modification. It bolts right up, you DON'T need any cables. Just the lever, and part #26 and #27 from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com under the "SHIFT LEVER" section for a 95 Prelude. I don't think the trim level matters, I just chose Si. The only thing you have to do is take the Accord plate out and take a pair of vice grips and twist off these two little metal tabs that the shifter hits, you'll see them. I wiggled them both back and forth until they came off, took maybe 10 seconds each. And yes it is way shorter than stock, here's a picture:

So take it from me, it is a direct swap with little modification, very easy, maybe takes 20 minutes to exchange if you know what you're doing. About an hour if you have to experiment.

Peace
