No Electricity
Ok, this has only happened once before in the past month or so, when I go to start my car all the interior lights come on like usual when turned to ignition, then when I go to start it theres a click in the engine bay and all the power is gone. So I take the key out and put it right back in and turn to ignition and theres no power at all. Wait like a minute and the power is back but it just clicks and the power is out again. About the 3rd or 4th time though it starts right up. This is a dohc zc in a 90 ex. All battery terminals are secure and clean, grounds seem ok, all wires to the starter are good and the pump primes as usual. No cels. Whats the deal?
I had the same problem a couple of months ago, when taking
project CRX out of moth *****. After I replaced the batt. It turned out to be the negative batt. cable. Just replaced with OEM honda one $$(ouch). $40.00 something.
But that fixed the problem. Make sure both connections to body and trans
are good and tight and rust and grease free. Should be good to go. HTH
It turned to be the thick lead terminal wasn't making good contact with
neg. batt term.

4thgen : it doesnt click continuously, just 1 click then no power.
Its just odd that its only done this once before and every other time its fine, I figured if it was a bad connection it would do it all the time. Guess ill sand down the terminal and the connector and just keep it real tight.

Well did some more looking into it and I noticed it sparks at the negative terminal when it happens. Its like the wires arent conducting so it jumps to the body instead of to through the wires and to the ground.
So either grab another from the junker or I'll be dropping $40 like 4crx4me did. bleh
