Hey.
I have a rear suspension from a 90 CRX Si, and I have the sway bar.
I was wondering what people have done about bolting the brackets to the car
since the nuts are not present on the DX chassis.
I have a type R rear sway bar, and I am trying to install it.
Thanks
George

What nuts are you talking about? All you have to do is
get the LCA's and the complete sway bar from an SI and
you're done.

Not so easy!
In the Si you bolt the brackets to the unsderside of the car, but on the
Dx, the nuts inside the chassis are not there.
The holes are there, but not the nuts or thread to bolt the brackets up.
That's what I am reffering to.
And yes, I have a 100% Si rear suspension swap minus the sway bar.

I drilled a large hole in the side of the "frame" so I could put nuts over the holes where the brackets go. As long as you don't make a huge hole and it is round it shouldn't affect body strength.
Yea you have to cut holes from the inside to bolt the brackets on. It won't affect body strength just make sure you paint the area after your done as it will start to rust after a while. Also I made 2 backing plates for both sides to use instead of washers to help support the area as the steel looks quite thin.
i mounted an ITR rear sway bar on my 90 dx hatch....basically I used 92-00 civic/integra d brackets to mount it on the crossmemeber, but wasn't good becuase the tension was too low, so i fabricated some new brakets that mounted the bar much higher, drilled throught the crossmember mounted the brackte and the bar to it...
