Honda has released its new F1 racing site and it is really, really nice.

It keeps crashing my Mac in OS9, guess I'll have to switch over ot OSX to check it out later.

 

Its pretty darned nice website. I can't remember the name of the design firm that made it but they are a UK design firm (English graphic design typically is more avant garde than their US counterparts). I like the way you can go to My Honda and specify what information will show up on the home page when you load it.

The only thing I don't like is that all of the movement and animation is distracting. Still, this is one of the very, very, very few examples of where Flash is used effectively. Most of the time Flash is used in a manner that adds nothing to the website except user frustration.
