Default ZC engine = gold?

I gotta vent a little, but this IS rediculous. I just called the local honda junkyard that has become the engine importer, just to see what a ZC entine/tranny went for nowadays for a friend's son, and I hung up in a hysterical laugh. $900? For an engine and tranny that's sat outside in the rain for a decade? WHATEVER. When I bought my ZC 6 years ago, it was $700 because the engine importer thought it was a b18a and I thought I got a good deal, and last year Auto Adventure in Portland wanted $550 for the engine and tranny. From $550 to $900 in one year? What's up with that? Is it this way everywhere now?

no most people carry it for about 500-700 it all depends on what you get with it and if you need it shipped and all that. don't pay 900 for a damn zc motor!

I like my zc, don't get me wrong. But if I ever were asked to pay mroe than 600 for the engine I would probably die of laughter and have my relatives sue the person for wrongful death.

Was that with the LSD tranny? I could see that being a little pricey, but $900 for any decade old motor is pricey!

Check out JK motors, they have a couple sitting there right now. While your there you could probally pick up the ZC hood and mabey a tranny as well.

well, the motor was like $525, it was shipping that jacked up the cost.
