I just recently painted my coupe silver.. and the stock taillights look funky with it.. the orange on it especially doesnt look right. I was looking at this taillight on ebay. Does anybody have this.. or have seen it on a eg civic?? how does it look, and does it look kinda ricey??

I've seen them on, they don't look as bad as some of the others, but just keep your stock ones on.

 

you don't understand.. notice how most silver cars. .from factory has taillgihts that are just all red.. or mostly red.. like the 01 civic has tailights that are red.. and other cars too.... so my stock taillights especially with the orange looks totally out of place.

 

i understand what ur saying....but i would still keep the stock ones on...

 

altezzas no matter what are ricey, if you have to change them at all I'd just go with half red half clear, no altezzas, I hate them with a passion

 

Yeah I have seen those tail lights on a few Civic's around here and I think they just look out of place on the car. If I was you I would keep the stock tail lights, I like the Amber in tail lights and corners and bumper lights it makes them look better with stock lights on the car I think. Sorry but I am not a fan of aftermarket lights.

 

Any other lights but OEM look funny.

 

do whatever you want....if you like it dont let anyone tell you different.

 

i had those half red.. half white.. but at night.. they look pink.... that i got pulled over. besides.. those tailights arent legal. but these ones on the top are.

 

I think they would look really clean on a silver car.

 

get some chrome housing altezzas and may b some chromed spinner dub dueces...it doesnt look ricey its cool...everyones doing it

 

get these if you want to get rid of the orange

 

i really liked the half red.. half white one.. but the thing is.. i have to put red bulb covers on the signal lights.. since where it used to be orange.. its white now.. and having white signal lights are illegal. when i put those red bulb covers on... it looks pink... and it attracts cops... that's why i dont like them.

 

just spend your money on some vtec stickers...

it almost looks like theyre too red. if they had a smoked version of those that might be a little better. but those would look better than the orange. i know what youre saying the orange stands out to much on a silver eg. i had one and just used the half red half clear tails. but mine never faded to shine pink.

 

what did you do with the signal lights?? did you put a red bulb cover on it??

 

you could always just use that tint spray stuff and make the signal darker. That wouldn't look so bad. If someone already posted about it sorry, i didn't read it all.

 

are you retarded?? they make signal bulbs that are amber haha.. i had those 1/2 1/2s tho and since they are painted with transparent paint on the red 1/2 it does look pink at night.. i dont mind the pink but cops do. so i took them off and dont use them now

 

get some 99 or 00 tails

 

if your gona change em out Id do red/white ones ... the SI look .. IF you have to change em out ... those I wouldnt touch .. .Just my .02

 

get the led brake light bulbs, they are hella red, when I had half red half clears I never got pulled over up here in seattle, I dunno how the boyz in blue are where you are from though, they look pink if you use the shitty bulbs they supply with the taillights.

 

I got mine painted professionally...4 years since, they still look new!

 

Yeah, or just get some clear ones and go to town with some transparent model paint.
