Tire Size Help Needed....
Hey Guys-
Just needed a little help with tire sizing. I need a new set of tires for my 16-inch Mugen MF-10s and another for my OEM ITRs. I have a great deal on Bridgestones. What tires should I get for my Mugen (street) and OEMs? Right now I have a set of old school Dunlop W10 in 205/40 on the MF10s and Toyo RA1 on the stockers. I want to get the S-03, but I'm afraid that the sizing might be too off. I'm sitting pretty low on my Mugen N1 coilovers but rubbing is not a problem. Your help is greatly appreciated.

for plus sizing wheels, the rule is for every inch in diameter, raise the width by 10 and the sidewall height lowers by five. so if 15"wheels are 205/50, a 16"wheel should be 215/45 tires.
hope that helps
although im not sure if the difference between your existing tires and any new ones would be that high... maybe it would still be less than 3mm in overall height. best thing to do is take a stock sized tire at a tire store and compare it with your existing tire in overall height. too much smaller or larger and the speedometer and odometer will be off. you may also rub.
im pretty sure you dont have anything to worry about though... at least about rubbing.

For the street - get the best tire you can afford.
For the 16s - if they are +43mm offset = 215/45-16 will fit
- if they are +50mm offset = 225/40 or 215/45 will fit
For the track - stick with the RA-1s
You might want to consider a wider rim though i.e. 15x7
