Hi Everyone-

I am stuck in a rut right now. I am currently considering buying a USED for 2 years in California, Tanabe Racing Medallion Exhaust. I can't remember what model it is for, he stated that it would fit my 98 GS-R, as far as I can remember it is made for a GS-R. If it happened to be made for a GS or LS would it still fit? Also, I've heard that they are quite loud and was wondering if anyone is either selling or knows where I could purchase a silencer for the exhaust. Are they any specific questions I should ask to make sure I purchase a high quality exhaust? He says there are a few scratches on it from being on a lowered car, but other than that everything so far seems fine. What parts should be included also when I receive it?

My next question is I plan on going N/A as of now because I am going more for reliability and in the future hope to upgrade to CTR Cams, if not JUN or TODA's in the future. But either way I would go with a JDM 4-1 and I was wondering if purchasing this exhaust would make that goal impossible.

"few scratches" means it got some fucked up dent, some nasty chrome stripping scratch, and a subpar quality overall. Is he selling it on ebay? If so, I would trust him a bit more since a negative feeback can really hurt a seller. Overall, for more than a hundred dollars or so, I would not buy anything unless I see it first or have good pics of the merchandise in question.
