I wanna know if I can put a civic Ex head or a crx Si head on my crx Hf to make it have v-tec. If so would the only other things I need to run it would be the computer and wire harness right?

CRX si = d16a6 = no vtec

next time use the search function first,

you are better off just swapping the whole motor out for a d16z6 or d16y8 from a 5th gen or 6th gen civic.

You can't put a Z6 or Y8 head on your HF motor because it is only has 8 valves. A 16 valve head will not work on your motor.

Your best bet is to find a used D series motor (can be had for very little, probably less than $200). It is a direct replacement in your car, with no wiring changes involved at all (for an A6, a Z6 or Y8 motor would need some wiring changes). Pull the old motor out, put the new one in. You'll also want to get a DX or Si tranny, as the HF gears are much too tall if you want any performance from your vehicle. An Si ECU also goes along with the package, but that shouldn't be a problem to find either.

Do a search to find lots of information. Most of your questions you will have have already been answered.

d16a6 have vtec??????????

To put any 16 valve head on an hf block, you have to grind valve reliefs in the pistons.

a6(si) no vtec

z6 or y8 (92-95. 96-00) vtec

i'm curious to know if anyone on h-t makes a conversion harness for putting in a 92-95 ex, d16z6 into a 90 crx hf.. and converting it to obd-1..
i know hasport makes one and it converts your car to obd-1, and you can use the p28 ecu...But does anyone on h-t make custom ones?
