Have you ever wondered what a failed HASport H22A EG mount would look like?
Here's my Civic, sitting on blocks........

due to this:

Well, of course there are other reasons too.

How the hell did that happen??
Yah the paint job is not my style, but to each their own right? But even still it looks like it was painted by a 3 year old with crayon. I'd kill whoever painted your car and tried to pass it off as professional.

How did it happen? I guess it was due to too much racing.....what else?
The JDM H22A engine at that time was stock. It was in my Civic for about 3 months. During that time period, it was at drag strip 2 times. The first time I ran with street tires. Everything was OK. The second time with drag slicks. This is where things went bad.
After my 3rd run, as I was headed in to the pits I noticed a grinding noise coming from the LF. Got into the pits and put the car in reverse, heard a clunk from under the hood. Opened up the hood and saw the H22A sitting funny. Upon further inspection, the rear engine mount insert, which is the ONLY torque mount, had horrbily blown up.
Fortunately, HASport has EXCELLENT customer service. I recieved my mount back from them with a new insert in a little over a week. Not bad service at all.
My only complaint: I requested the "racing" insert, but HASport is goofy. All their inserts are the same color, so we as consumers have no way of distinguishing a "street" insert to a "race" insert.
I'm just wondering if anyone else out there is also having problems with the rear HASport H22A EG motor mount?
Let's see how long the new mount survives. This time, I'm going to have a fully built JDM H22A head installed.

There are only 3 mounts in the HASport kit. You have the two side mounts, and the rear mount. The two on the side support/hold up the engine. The rear mount is the torque mount. This mount get's all the beating. I checked the two side mounts, and they seem to be OK. The only thing I didn't like seeing was rusty fasteners. You would assume HASport would use stainless steel hardware, but NOPE, they don't.

IMO you should try getting the 4th mount, either have one made or buy won from a manufacturer

your car is on block because of a busted mount? maybe you should try taking your car to a mechanic...

wtf?
I don' tknow how the hell that happened, but I've been dragging and racing my h22 civic for a while and NO problems at all..
it was DEFINITELY not put in right or something.
zero problems here.

its because he is only using two mounts, there is nothing holding that engine on the bottom of the chasis, there should be two aftermarket mounts to hold the bottom side of the engine, the tranny mount and the ac mount..
I am not familiar with the h series swap so I dunno if anyone ever made two mounts for the bottom half.

Most if not all mount kits only come with 3 points with the forth torque mount in the front optional.. Interesting stuff indeed. Maybe you just bad rubber the first time around.. And the mount itself looks good its just the bushing that was damaged just to clarify..
Did you not read the precautions in the HASport instructions?
They read, and I quote:

Maybe it was just a manufactuers defect. Then again, maybe the tearing paint continued into the engine bay and tore the mount. Kind of like B18C5-EH2 said...

read the post a little bit better, "There are other reasons for having the engine removed."
