yeah all the junkyards around here dont have any car newer than a 91...and all of those have been stripped...the one big junkyard in Brandywine, MD has a lot of hondas...but the people that work their strip off all the good stuff and sell them on partstrader first, then throw the rest in the yard

DOOOOOD! I had the same exact problem, and you know what i found out? Its nutty as hell, BUT the 83-87 preludes have the SAME EXACT ASHTRAY for the rear passangers.
go to a junkyard, find an old 2nd gen lude (the first style with the flip up headlights) and look Inside right under the rear qtr glass. cant miss them, both sides have them.
Oh, and MOST of the pockets for the din-sized slots are interchangable, try looking in some of the older acura's, most of them had audio consoles stock.

a friend of mine bought an 86 Si lude that had been verry badly neglected but had a solid motor, and we gutted the entire car to clean all the dirt and funk out of it from the previous owner. I got all psyched when i saw the rear ashtrays, ran to my car and pulled the old one out (that had been painted by my civics previous owner), and they were the same.
