To buy or not to buy.....
whats up guys, i know if anyone knows a lot about cars, it'd be you guys so i'm hopin you can help me out with this one....this kid by me is selling a GSR, its a 95 with 86k miles on it, its got intake, exhaust, coilovers, tinted windows, a couple minor dents on the passenger side, but other then that its in great condition, hes asking $11,4, i think i could prolly get him down to at least 10,8 maybe 10,5. i'm trying to convince myself whether to buy it or not, i dont kno whether 86k miles is too much, but then again, i've never owned an integra and i dont know how well they handle miles. so if you can please help me out, give me your opinions, thanks a lot
also make sure the timing was changed or that could cost you another 300-500 if you cant do it yourself...also that is a little expensive anyways, i would get a stock one and everything yourself to make sure its done right.
I wouldn't buy it. 10.5 k for 86k miles, there are so many out there that would justify shopping around. Especially now, with the release of the "Dodge Neon wannabe on steroids RSX," .....brand new GSRs can be had for $19k.
BTW, just for the hell of it....when I test drove an RSX two weeks ago, the dealer offered me 11.5k for my 1998 GSR with 31k miles on it trade in, no noticable scratches, no dents, no dings, frost white, very clean with 3k oil change maintenance records and so on...I was like "are you nuts?" I am sure he is lowballing like some methhead who hadn't slept for 3 days, but then again, the trade in value for 3rd gen tegs took a dive lately. Check edmunds.com for more details.
