aight here the deal, my friend has a 98 TYPE R (white) with a B16A2 from a 2000 Civic Si in it. the engine was stolen and thats how it came when it was bought. car runs very well except it has a lil noise if u dun step on the clutch, mechanics say its the throw out bearing and its not that of a big deal. only mod is AEM CAI and some 17 inch ADR rims (pretty scratched up).

i was wondering since u guys know type R's better than me, im a CRX guy, how much would this car sell?

Was that car on Ebay a long time ago? I remember a B16 ITR with white ADR wheels and an AEM up there...

 

IF everything else on the car is original than I would say about a decent price for a 98 R and subtract about $5,000 off for the engine. Maybe around $10,000 or $11,000 total.

yeah, it was from ebay. the AEM CAI was actually installed later on by me. anyone wanna buy it? taking offers, selling for my friend. the reason? the person loves type Rs but cant drive stick too well. so i told my friend to sell this car and just get a white teg that is automatic first . HAHA. aight u guys can stop laughing too now!

 

i'd throw a d series motor in there and leave it in compton with the doors unlocked. fully insured of course.

Didn't a black R that had a JUN ECU'd B16A only go for like $5K on eBay?

 

i wouldnt pay too much. maybe the cost of a strut bar and suspension mods and the seats over the price of an RS or LS integra. thats really about how much its worth to me... so maybe 2000 more than what an RS would cost. then id sell the b16a after i get enough money to cover the cost of the difference of a JDM R motor.

 

if you want to sell it for 5k i'll buy it.

would you want an ITR with anything less than an ITR motor in it? i wouldn't. to me, that's like a car with a body kit. all show, no go.
