Default Legality of Nitrous in NY State Inspections

Ok i'm hearing a lot of different stuff. I was under the impression that N2O was not illegal and therefore shouldn't be a problem in vehicle inspections. I dont see why it wouldnt pass inspections since you're not using the nitrous in inspection anyways.

Anyone know more about this? Will they fail me if they see my nitrous lines and bottle? what can i do if i will fail (other than pass up nitro)

um, I dont think you would fail unless they are really inspecting, in that case, come on down to NYC, there are plenty of shady shops that will pass you, hell most of the legit shops will be too lazy to even notice it. No way they will see the bottle if it is covered. As for the lines, you can cover them with OEM style plastic wiring sheath if you are that worried, but dont be, as long as you pass the tailpipe inspection you are all good.
