PCT pistons in LS block questions?
just randomly curious if you could get away with a Honda 3 layer HG taken down to 1 or 2 layers with JDM b16B pistons in an LS block with stock valves, as far as clearances go? or would you have to use the 3 layer, and or what size HG works? and what other problems would arise?
then how about P30 (jdm b16a) pistons in same setup?

With 1 layer headgasket and a GSR head the compression would be above 13.0:1, whether or not the pistons will contact the valves you'd have to know what size cams, and on what head. I personally can't help you, but im going to refer this thread to my friend who can probably can.
You are most likely not going to be running stock camshafts, therefore knowing your lift is a big help into determining the answer to your question.
Also, you already probably know that it is not worth risking a joe blow giving his opinion or experience on this particular combination since every motor has slight differences between them. Your head or deck may have been resurfaced a little more than the other guys etc...
The only way to be sure is to clay check your clearances.
