Most Motors cops wear a bulletproof vest like any other officer. They have specially padded pants w/ the high boots. Short sleeve shirts here in FL as it is damn hot....most crashes w/ motors cops are at slow speeds, they normally don't have a reason to be hauling *** as they are specifically TRAFFIC oriented and are not called to emergency calls unless absolutely necessary...

You wouldnt get away from this guy, this pic may or not be of the same fellow, but there is a safety school called dp safety school, if memory serves this guy was an instructor there. Now unless you can keep up with ama pro riders, I suggest you do not run. The reason I know this is because I work with an ama 250gp and 600 supersport pro. If you look at that R1 you will also notice that there are no turn signals either. Thats a track only bike.

Couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or not so I'll answer as if not.
Power trip? Not at all. Simply proud of his line of work and obvious PR. What helps smooth over bad feelings regarding cops than running on the track for a day with one that is obviously into the same things as you. Added benefit of showing that cops can be "cool" just like the custom painted D.A.R.E. cars and the custom police drag cars found at tracks all across the country.

thats not a real cop, and not a real cop bike, just some guy who "tricked out" his bike for an event that day.. </TD></TR></TABLE>
This comes from where? I have a LOT of people claiming to have ridden with him at track days. Do you really think someone would spend a couple thousand to do custom leathers like that for an "event"? Not real likely.
