MTF through VSS hole??
Hey guys, I'm trying to find out if you can fill the tranny with MTF through the VSS hole. The hole you put the cable into the tranny. I know the proper way to do it, and everything, but I was wondering if it's possible to do it through there. That way I know if it's filled up all the way. For some reason I don't think it fills up all the way with the regular way.
Thanks guys.

I know what you mean and I worry about this also... I'm pretty sure there's a large bolt on the top of the transmission that you can remove and fill through instead of using the side hole. Just open the side hole so you can see when the oil starts to leak out, and then remove the bolt on top of the transmission and fill through that hole instead. I'm not sure if using the VSS would work also, but I'm pretty sure this bolt I'm speaking of is more accessible.
I'm not sure what bolt you're talking about. Would you be able to show a pic? Or maybe a better description on where the bolt is at?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Someone commented about being over necessary level, doesn't the oil come out of areas if you fill it too much?
EDIT: I'm not talking about it draining out showing you that it's filled, I'm talking about if you fill it too much it's supposed to come out of the flywheel inspection plate and other areas.

Its actually a breather hole for the trans. Don't know how much the tranny can breath though with that rubber cap on top.

Ef *****, calm down. I do know how to fill it like Honda say's. It's just that it starts seeping out before I put the complete amount. Like half a qt. before. I'm not trying to over fill it, I'm just trying to find a better way to put the exact amount that the Helms says to put in. That's all.
So it is ok to fill it through the breather hole, right?

efwhore i dont remember Honda saying throwing turbos on and upgrading the **** out of their engines was cool, but looks like we do it anyway!!! be alittle open minded filling in that breather hole is cool, i do it and it works, just remove that plug on the side to let the air out when you fill in the breather. also you might not be able to fill the tranny with the same amount as helms says because of some fluid that might not come out when draining because of the way the tranny is positioned?? thats my guess.
you can use the vss hole..just take out the whole vss and pour in your MTF..i always do this cause my trans casing is crack
so i need to refill it like every other week
