damn rotor screw...
drill out the head.
the only function of that screw is to hold the rotor on while the car is on the production line.
the wheel and caliper hold that in place, so just drill them out.
once you get down enough the head is off, the rotor will come off.
Ive been there, pounding for an hour at that damn screw, just to realize I could have drille dit out in 30 seconds with a 3/8 drill bit.

sorry man, are we talking about the same thing? You threw me off about the "wheel and caliper". Im talking about the distributor rotor.
Oh that's bad..........
You may have to bust the rotor (it's mostly molded phenolic material) to get the piece off, just get a new one, I can't think of anyway to take the screw off without destroying the rotor.

i think busting the rotor is my only option, unless i just leave it on there. I really want to replace it because the tip is kinda chared( its all there just kinda burnt on the edge).
ahh shiet, I just looked at the replacement rotor.. no replacement screw, and the surrounding area around the screw is reinforced with a metal sleeve. Busting it would not be an option.

Go to Sears and get on of those stripped head screw remover screwdriver type things (I just saw an add on TV a few days ago for them) and I bet that would work and try that.. and remeber what Teken said and dont put too much force on the rotor..

i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago.....since i have screwdriver with interchangeable tips, i used one that was real pointy with a large head and then tapped it with a hammer(not too hard) then i was able to loosen it without stripping it completely........you might also want to take the entire distributor off so you can get to the screw better and nothing will be in your way......its very easy(only 3 12mm bolts)....just make sure you mark the top of the distributor with a marker so it will be at the right timing
