Default Re: blown head gaskett (jason_thaomoto)

Is your coolant misteriously disappearing?
Is your dipstick wet (i.e: condensation, water drops)?
Is you car beginning to smoke?
Are there bubbles coming up through your radiator?

These are all tell-tale signs. There is a test a shop can do for ya, but usually the wet dipstick is the nail in the coffin.

A shop will probably charge you around 350-600 depending on wether or not your head needs to be resurfaced. Do it yourself and save hundreds.

Also: Do a search and find oodles of useful info.
