Yeah to bump C/R you're gonna have to get some aftermarket 84mm pistons. You can use LS/B20 rods with certain pistons, but as with most aftermarket you may have to go aftermarket rods too.

To add on to the last guys- your .25 overbore only takes them to 81.25

Yeah they fit but the rattle gets annoying hehehe

As he said 81mm vs 84mm

No, as previously stated all B16/B18 are 81mm. B20 has a 84 mm bore. No a Type R piston will not work.

NO. Type r pistons are 3mm too small. You might be able to get type r style pistons from an aftermarket supplier.

Well you could get some Arias or JE's off the shelf and range from about 12-14.5:1 compression, but they aren't Type R pistons. Probably junk anyways.

Running JE 84mm 12.5:1 in a B20B. Actually about 12:1 with an LS head. I think the compressions a little to high. Hasn't overheated yet (Texas), but I can't wide open throttle without it starting to detonate. I think I'll go to 11.5:1 to see how that is. Also, at least in my case, they are only rough for maybe the first 5 seconds. Some poeple say they are real loud since the silicon level is low and they contract/expand...but they seem ok to me.

Just get some Wiseco pistons or something like that, the ITR are too small for that block. B20's are 84mm.

Well my Ls has type r pistons and the compression is higher than stock, been driving it hard for over 2 years now and no problems. A well known and respectable mechanic named David Polk build it so as far the bore size goes I'd never asked'em about.

good god.....people should get reprimanded for such rediculous actions.... not only is the thread 9 years old and before RS machines had their ITR B20 pistons out, but an LS is an 81mm bore!!! C'mon 91 Ac...
