I've been looking for a hatchback for a little while now, and I came across a car with these specs:

1992 red VX hatchback
79,000 miles
Bone stock, no body damage, "clean" interior
"Runs and drives well"

Price is $2000. It falls in the low range of the internet appraisal sites (kbb, nada, edmunds), and it sounds like a good price, but I don't know how the market is for these cars in the real world, so I'm curious to see what you guys think.

(The back of my mind is screaming "get the damn car, it's a great deal!" but I don't want to make a misjudgement because of my anxiousness to get a car.)

that car would go for like 3500-4000 by me, scoop it up before someone else does

 

That is a good price, I would get it if I was you.

 

I wouldnt think twice about buying it, especially with those low as miles on it

defiently good buy. I payed $1400 for mine off of a drunk guy, it was a steal!

 

Sounds like you guys were right. I was going to look at it and buy it tomorrow, but he sold the car last night. 3 days after posting. Bummer.
