Does anybody know what causes the blue powder substance form on the positive terminal on the battery. My car never used to have this problem but now that i drive something else daily and my car sits for weeks at a time without being driven this blue **** is growing off my battery terminal.

Corrosion. Clean it up with some baking soda/water solution. Find some of that battery terminal anti-corrosion stuff and coat your terminals to prevent this from happening.

I have another trick to stop that old hot rodder trick. Place a PENNY in the center of you - and + posts. The penny will attract all the corrosion to it and not the post. In about 6months the penny will turn to a green blob . Scrape the old penny off and intall a new one.. 1 cent fix how can you go wrong with that price.

Step 1: Remove terminal connectors from battery.

Step 2A: if you have a pool table use your battery as a free cue chalk maker and rub the stick against the terminals...

Step 2B: if not your **** out of luck and have to waste that chalk and clean it up with a battery brush, autozone sells these cool little steel brush thimbles for the battery terminals you can keep handy.

Step 2C: You can get new battery cable connectors at autozone too, some nice painted ones with quick release levers on them... they roxor.

Step 3: Grab a beer or soda, or whine cooler, game on!

Step 4: Return the terminal connectors to the battery.
