Wheels and Rims for an 88 crx
I know this may sound stupid but I've been dealing with this for a while and haven't bothered to ask. There are a few questions. Here they go:
1) Do 17" wheels fit on a 88 CRX DX? If so, Do i have to fender flare?
2) Should I go with 17" wheels with super low profile or 16" wheels with a thick tire?
3) How are you all doing right now?
Thanks alot, SUMMER BREAK FINALLY!!!

17's will rub if you're lowered. Do yourself -and us- a favour and don't get these. 16's are the biggest I would go, and they're pushing it.
Get a lightweight 15" wheel with lo-pro tires, no bigger than 195width, and you're good to go!

I like 16'' with 205 40. They look the best on our cars IMO. I run 16'' with 205 and No rubbing problems. Car is lowered and I didnt have to roll the fenders. 15's are ok but if your drag racing 14's are coo.
Right now i'm running 17"s on my crx with 205/40.. I like it alot.. it fills the wheel gap nicely and my car is lowerd. I dont have any rubbing problems. I also have a set of 16"s with 205/40. I pefer the 17" for handling and looks though.
bioxide no that was not right u just copied what the guy above said. ANYWAYS I think im going to go with light weight 15's or at biggest 16's. Any of you guys got recommendations on what to get? My Honda CRX is an OEM Red 88 CRX DX (with the wheels im goign to be buying lowering springs as well.) Thanks for the replies guys!
