quote from JHP.com
I thought you guys should see this, its kind of funny, check out the tech quote about using the jumper harness for the 88-91 civic to OBD 1, under ECU jumpers. they have good info on their page about wiring and swaps.

This jumper allows you to adapt a US or JDM 92-95/OBD1 ecu into an 88-91 civic/crx (EF) or 90-91 integra (DA).

TECH NOTE:
This specifc jumper does not automagically (plug n' play) allow to run an OBD1 ecu and instantly work in an 88-91 civic/crx or 90-91 integra. You will need to rewire your car to OBD1 spec in order for this jumper harness to work.
Please contact an experienced person who has done this specific type of conversion for more information, especially if you own a Dual-point injection model (DPFI) civic/crx (usually DX or STD models). The DPFI models civic/crx's are a real pain in the **** too!
D.I.Y. TECH NOTE:
If you plan on converting your own EF or DA to OBD1 spec, the only tip I have to offer is that most of the wiring (wire colors) will match up for repinning of the OBD1 distributor plug(s). You will have wire the 4-wire 02 sensor and VSS from the OBD1 ecu out to the those actual sensors.
Depending on the type of engine transplant you are performing (B or D-series), you must get these respective B or D-series parts in order to complete the OBD1 conversion which in turn, will satisfy the OBD1 ecu's programming.
- Obviously you need an OBD1 ecu..
- An OBD1 distributor
(B or D-series depending on the type of engine transplant you're doing, if any)
- OBD1 distributor male plugs
(they're all the same style for civics and integras)
- A 92+ civic/integra 4-wire 02 sensor.
- A 92+ civic or 94+ integra Vehicle Speed Sensor aka VSS.
- Lastly, an OBD1 thermostat housing w/integrated thermo-switch sensor.
... these parts are all needed in order to complete the OBD1 conversion along with rewiring and implemenation of OBD1 distributor plug(s).
This is all of the information I have on this subject. Please do a search on the net if you need any further info about EF/DA --to--OBD1 wiring converting.
