Looking forward to sparring with Brinson and the Shultz... although I dont plan on going down the shute backwards this year.

Hmmm ... what if my little ole HPDE 1 car turns some faster times than you racers?

Though admittadly, it will take me most of the weekend to get the new suspension and motor set-up properly for my first time on track with the turbo beast.

Maybe I should sign up for the time trial as well (and rent a transponder) to get some legitimate times of record.

yeah until you scare the **** out of him or her and they throw you out by yourself!!! i'd sure as heck sign you off after 2 laps.....i just want to see if you can hit 160 on the front straight!!! and remember ed....there's a sharp turn at the end of the front straight!!!

 

Tupper (chief DC region scca instructor for open wheel racers) says he only hit 150 down the straight in a Ferrari F40! ( I sort of work with the guy and drove him to the national Ferrari meet at Lansdowne golf course a few years ago).

I scare the instructors already, however I've done Summit for years (Fatt, Seat time, NASA), and just need to warm up a bit and install the better front pads in the spoonie calipers.

Actually, now that I think about it.
I've cooked experimental carbon composite brakes down the chute in my 87 CRX Si (a bunch of years ago) w/o lifting through the kink @ 4, looks bad when you come in and the front brakes are "foaming".
