twin turbo civic
i was justy wondering if any one has run a twin trbo setup on a 89 civic and if they could help me out on it i have an ls motor and am looking at running hondata for engine man but thats about all i know and am really interested if u got any ideasa on how to set it up it would be helpful thanks mj
why would you want twin turbo? like the man said up above one good size turbo would do better. i think twin turbo is for like cars with 2 chambers some thing with two exhaust manifold. a car with 2 barrow. hope i explain it right.
Yeah they do. I think the kit is like 6,000-7,500...
I don't know the gains, but the supercharger kicks in low-end torque to avoid "turbo-lag" and at/or about 4500 rpm the turbo take over and that thing moves...

I think HKS only produced that for one vehicle. I would rather spend my money on a build and have a little left over for my kit.

I think there would be a lot more turbo lag on a tt 4 cyl than with just 1 turbo. Reason being they are sharing the same exaust gases to spool. Anyway, twin turbo is for anything with a V in front of it
V6 V8 V10 etc

This is the first that I've heard of this...i heard that some company "tried" it with no substancial gains.
BTW..any links?

there was a meguiar intedra show car with a supercharger and a turbo. turbo magazine is also doing a supercharger and turbo setup on a v-6 mr2. also there was an article in either sports compact or turbo about some sort of sequential turbo setup being able to make insane levelsa of boost.
whats wrong with a TT car. it jus gives a larger area of power. instead of 4500+rpm like most t3/t4 setups.
my friend has a TT rx7 and its way better than a single turbo'd rx7.
the TT has power all throughout the rpm range. he did a single turbo setup for a customer and it has alot more HP but at high rpm and mostly for drag racing.
TT is all around power for autox or in my friends case drifting.
i mean yea. u can make more power outta one. but at what cost?? properly tuned TT will be my choice.
if it was more mainstream i'd go with it. but since its costly and single turbo apps are more common for the $$$ single turbo will be 99% of peoples choice.

hey man, twin turbo isnt a horrible idea but it will cost a shitload of money. you really have to ask yourself if its worth it. im going twin turbo and even with me and my friend fabricating pretty much everything its costing as much as single turbo. im running a sequential setup, t-25 and t-3. the t-25 spools up to wutever psi i set the boost controller at then the extra gasses when its done spooling goto the t-3 turbo. im sure ill run it just to get some times down, but im doing it mostly for show. think about pricing a little bit more, i got sheet metal intake, fuel rail, throttle body, 2 turbos, intercooler w/ custom endtanks, then all custom piping + fuel management. the guy i got my fuelrail from had 307 hp on a chassis dyno with a single hybrid turbo. o well peace...

They didn't have a s/c.
