Igniters - D16ZC - Are they all the same?

Igniters - D16ZC - Are they all the same?
The OKI in my distributor is going bad (bouncing tach, hesitation when accelerating, etc...)
Will the igniter from B18 dissy fit the ZC dizzy or am I stuck with that OKI POS?
My neighbors B18 has a Hitachi igniter - have also heard of some made by NEC - Differences, your experience?
I am getting ready to buy the third one for my hatch.

Igniters are interchangeable. You can use an igniter from an Accord in an Integra,Civic, whatever. Oki igniters suck. The Hitachi ones are o.k., and the NEC ones are good.

B19 - thanks for the input - I wonder if that is why the igniters for the tegs are so much more expensive? (staement and question)

I have an extra NEC ignitor that I'll sell you for $25 shipped. The bearing went bad in the distributor, but the ignitor was still good. It's been tested.
