Car shakes and is driving me insane!
But thankfully it's not my ITR. I'm asking for my JDM 4AGZE SC Toyota Corolla, which has been a work in progress for the last two years.
Basically, the car shakes at speeds over 90kph, especially during accelleration. I noticed this problem during the winter, when it was more severe. Since then, I replaced
front lower control arm bushings
front bearings
front discs and pads
front alignment
(also Rotas checked for straightness and balance)
(also new Apex springs and KYB gas struts)
The shaking has obviously diminished, but is still enough to annoy me. What else could it be? Clutch problem? It is a stock clutch that has held %100 increase in power for the last two years...
BTW thanks for answering a non-honda question before I lose my mind and all my money completely.

Usually if you get vibration at a certain speed (like 90 km/h) - it is usually wheel related (wheel/tire out of balance).
I would double check the balance of the rims - or try another set of rims on the car and see if the vibration is still there.

I would do the same.

I've got a vibration in my CRX @~80mph which I believe is probably due to the passenger side half-shaft. Just too lazy to replace it w/o doing a bunch of other stuff to the car first.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes, I was going to suggest checking the shafts too.

I agree.
It could also be caused by a loose motor mount.

Thanks guys. I kinda suspected axles and motor mounts too, but I just wanted some confirmation. I'll check those out as well.
My supercharged Corolla is actually just a beige FWD family car. Can get the groceries home in 14.8 seconds if you live 1320ft away! A real fun sleeper, unsuspected by most, including the popo.
