Default Are Intakes the same for 02+Si and RSX?

Hello all...I searched, but I didn't find what I needed...with that said:

I have been asked by my cousin to help him get an intake for his 03 Civic Si. I was looking around and found that on DCSports site they list the same part number for the RSX intake and the 02+ Si intake. Are they the same? If they are, I could just buy an RSX intake and it would fit...right? It seems that there are more intake brands available for the RSX than the Si, so if they are the same it would help finding an intake for him.
Thanks in advance for any info

For the most the part, the answer is no. The intakes between the two are very similar, but there are slight differences. Can you put an RSX intake on an Si? Yeah, but I personally would rather have a part specific to the Si. There is one intake that is the same part between the Type S and the Si. That's the K&N Typhoon. However, the base RSX is different.

I don't know which companies make intakes for the RSX, but I do know of ones for the Si. Here's the ones I know of:

Injen SRI or CAI
AEM SRI or CAI
K&N Typhoon
Comptech Icebox
HKS Mega Flow
DC Sports Direct Air Charger
Iceman (not 100% sure, but I think so)
Generic Ebay SRI
I think Neuspeed is working on something.

EDIT: I saw that you said the part # is the same for DAC. If that's the case, then that should work as well. Not sure where you have looked for this, but planetperformance.com has them for the Si for something like $150 shipped.

Thanks
Maybe DCSports designed theirs to fit both and save themselves some money in the process by not having to engineer two seperate ones?? who knows.
I'll check out those manufacturers and see what they have to offer.

Do you have an intake on your Civic?

What's the SRI? I've seen DAC (Direct Air Charger) and CAI, but I haven't heard of SRI. Do you like your intake? Mind if I ask where you got it and how much it was? Thanks

I think when he's saying he has the SRI, he's referring to the DAC. It looks just like an SRI, but they just call it something different.

I don't have an intake yet, still researching. However, as far as the SRI's go, I believe either the K&N or DC Sports would be your best bet.

Thanks...I'll probably get the Dcsports for him, but I'm definitely going to look into the other brands just to get a full feel for what's out there.
Thanks again guys

Neuspeed also has an intake called P-flo on their site. They are unresponsive to requests for a Si dyno though.

I wonder why? You think they'd want to prove their product was superior. I like the looks of the P-Flow filters, but it seems they are always sooooo expensive!

Errr no. Intakes are different. I thought they were the same when I ordered a Mugen Airbox for my DC5.
