Default Vis CF hood

I bought a Vis carbon fiber hood today for my civic, and i was wondering what did everybody get that pink sticky glue/tape off with?

-And is there any way to properly care for the hood? (like it's an animal) I don't want the clearcoat to start flaking. Can I wax it or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

BTW fitment is great. Got it from nopi suprisingly!

So do smashed hoods, cracked windshields, and a dented roof. You be the judge.

The hood weighs nothing compared to the stock one. Will all the air going around, all thats holding that hood down is that one latch in the front, which can sometimes break or come out and wam, up flies your hood.

Its because of the air resistance pushing against such a light hood. IMHO, I think theres nothing ugly about hood pins.

better safe than sorry. Would you spend another $300+ for another cf hood cuz your hood flew off and got smashed or dented??? Or would you rather just spend about $20 or so for hoodpins???? The choice is yours you decide

i just took the tape off and used the sticky side of the tape to take off the pieces that stayed stuck on the hood, the guy at imoto said wax the hood every week... i think that's a little too much, so i wax it every month or two. I dont use hoodpins, duno i just think they look ugly and it sux to drill a hole throught he hood, hope my hood dont pop open. i see it levitate while i'm on the freeway going faster than 65.

I have the Mr gasket locks on my VIs hood. Turned out pretty nice. They are a bitch to install though so have fun. You also have to paint them black unless you want them the bling bling. I dont really have a close up pic but heres one for the hell of it since im bored and all.

Well how much did everybody else pay for their hood? I just got tired of waiting and trying to find a used one so I just went and bought it. Think I should take it back and get my money...
