Default Greddy kit for Y8 questions....

I'm looking into getting a turbo kit for my 99 Civic EX. My questions are..does anyone make a CARB exempt kit at this time? Also, can you use the stock oil pan to weld the oil return line on, or do you need an older style oil pan from the 92-95. One last question, assuming I have to buy the kit for the 92-95, what needs to be modified for it to work on my 99', and will the intercooler/BOV kit fit on my car also? Thanks for your help.

I don't know of any other CARB exempt kit that is available for your car. You have to use your oil pan for the return line because the oil pan on a 92-95 civic is not the same as yours. Everything still fits well on a '99, my brother had my kit on his '98 civic before I got it. BOV's are universal. Just weld a flange to your charge pipe for it. The intercooler kit will work too.

everything fits fine, bov's are universal. not sure about the intercooler since my piping is custom. the only difference is the wiring of the blue box.

Racerage, any dyno #'s on that set up? I've got a supercharged crx, and want to go turbo on my civic for something different. How much should I expect to spend on the turbo kit, intercooler kit, BOV etc? You still running the Greddy blue box, does that work ok? Also, you can still use a VAFC with that blue box right? Thanks, I'm in OC also btw. Oh yeah, I'm also using a P28 ecu currently....so I'm assuming this will be ok also.

i got the kit and bov for 1700 new from charles @hondadriven. the intercooler i got used for $200 with turbo timer. piping cost about $40-50, not sure, i forgot. but i got them from jcwhitney. no dyno#'s yet but i will soon. the blue box for the SOHC kit works fine, its just the blue box that comes with the DOHC kits that people have problems with. if you're running the vafc, there's no point in having the blue box. just get some 450 injectors and trim it with the afc. i dont think u should have a problem with the p28 ecu. hope this helps.
