Default HELP!! wiring problem??

Hey i'm doing a b16a1 swap into my CRX DX. I was wondering if it would be easier to buy an si harness and convert it to MPFI rathar then convert my DX harness to MPFI??

it is easier to convert the DPFI to MPFI. I just finished the Si harness swap, and it was a PITA. But worth it if you have alot of time on your hands. Also keep in mind that I HATE messing with wiring under the dash. My least favorite thing to work on in a car!

Im sorry i guess I stated my question wrong. I Have a 89' crx dx. I am putting a b16a1 swap in it. I'm have some problems with the wiring tho. I was wondering if I could use an 88-91 crx si wiring harness on my dx rather than convert my dx to mpfi

I just got finished rewiring my DX for a B16a swap, about three -four weeks ago. I did it all myself with no problems, it is a lot easier than most people think. First off, NO you can not use the Si harness on the DX car. The wires that run through the firewall into the ECU are all different. If you use the DX it is very simply. straight forward. All you have to do is convert the DX from dual point injkection to multi point injection, on the existing DX harness, since the old motor has 2 injectors you have to set up for the 4 on the new B16a. you willl need a fuel injector resistor box, I have one for sale if you want 10 bucks. email me and I will send to you or you can gank at a junk yard for free ! to rewire the injectors all you do is connect two of the injector wires to two of the 4 injector wires then run the other two dirrectly into the ECU. each injector has a red wire next to it. these are the grounds and you run all 4 of these into the fuel injector resistor box. It acts as a relay, and is what keeps the injectors at a certasin voltage ,,,I think 6 or 7 volts. once you rewire the injectors all you do is buy some extra 18 gauge wire and run them from the sensors that have nothing on them yet. I think there are 8 wires that you have to change at the ecu. V-tec solinoid, v-tec oil pressure, 2nd O2 sensor, knock sensor, and I think just 2 wires from the distributor for they are blue. one last thing you will have to do is rewire the clip form the B16a harness onto the dx harness for the dizzy. since the Dx plug will not plug onto the b16a distributor. just match all the colors up, there are orange and white as a pair, then orange and white with orange stripes, then a fat white which is a ground on the outside of the middle pair, then there are two wires on top which are the cylinder position sensor wires I think that they are blue green, and blue yellow, if you need any exact info on wiring or questions email me at fastlittlehonda@yahoo.com I could take some pictures of my motors wiring and email you .... just look for some charts, http://www.hasport.com go to swap tech under wiring for DX to SIR. this will show you pinouts at the ECU,,,the most important thing is to look at the ecu clips the right way when plugging all the wires into the correct possitions,,,,, I originally learned the hard way. when you are looking at the clips to plug all your wires into, you should look at clip A or the big white one. If you are looking at it correctly, there will be2 slanted corners at the top of it. the wrong side is the one with wires coming out of it and the plastic piece of the clips is just flat. GOOD LUCK search this forum for wiring diagrams under SEARCH ! LATERS
