Default Changing CV boots on 93'

Hello all,

I hope someone can help. I have a 93 Prelude Si and i need to change my outer cv boots because they are cracked.

I was able to get the right side half shaft out and replace the boot on that one. I am having trouble on the driver side now.

I don't know where to pry the shaft out. The shaft goes into the axle i guess and then into the tranny. On the right side i just pulled the half shaft from the tranny and that was that. But on the drivers side now i have the half shaft connected to the long pipe (axle i guess) and then it goes into the tranny.

My question is, where do i try to get it off so i can replace the boots and get my car back together again?

Thanks in advance.

You have to separate the lower Balljoint.

that's all done though. I am guessing from reading from other threads i need to hit the half shaft with a hammer to break it away from the axle bearing in the middle or something
